COVID Update – 11/21/2020:
Due to the increase of COVID cases in North Carolina, the Western NC Conference of United Methodist Church has recommended services be held on line only through the month of November. A decision will be made on Friday, December 4th for the month of December. A prerecorded homily will be posted on Mt. Tabor’s Facebook page by 11:00 am on Sunday, November 22nd to be watched at your convenience. It will also be available on the church YouTube channel the following Monday.
An email will be sent out next week regarding Sunday November 29th service. Thank you and hope you have a happy Thanksgiving and remember we will get through this.
COVID-19 UPDATE 11/11/2020 – Gov. Cooper’s Phase 3 Regulations:
|Phase Three EXTENSION Guidelines for In-Person Worship & Ministry During COVID-19|
With Governor Cooper’s extension of Phase Three, along with the implementation of additional measures necessary to protect public health, the Bishop and Cabinet have also extended and updated their Phase Three guidelines for WNC United Methodist Churches. Please note, while worship guidelines remain the same, all other indoor gathering should be limited to 10 persons or less.
As faithful disciples of Jesus Christ in the midst of our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to our Biblical mandate to “love our neighbors as ourselves” and our Wesleyan call to “do no harm.” In doing so, we seek ways to engage faithfully in worship, study, and ministry while ensuring the health and safety of our members and communities.
We advise that all churches continue following CDC, state and local guidelines for indoor and outdoor gatherings, including handwashing, wearing masks, and observing physical distancing rules and group size limits.
We are a family oriented faith community located just north of the Salisbury city limits in the Ellis Community. Our worship service is casually traditional – come dressed as you feel most comfortable. Everyone is welcome!
